This laser produces a grid that sends out a pattern of dots which helps detect movement and perfect to use with shadow detectors. Unlike some lasers where you have to change the cap for different patterns you simply rotate the cap for the desired pattern. No fumbling around in the dark changing and dropping caps. All lasers have a momentary on button. Press it's on and let go it's off. The FREE laser holder keeps the laser on. Simply slide the laser in the holder and attach to the tripod and tighten the thumb-wheel until the laser lights.
